I arrived at my summer home this week on the Maryland coast and we have been fishing hard. On Tuesday we had a great morning catching stripers on the fly. Fishing our deep lines and clouser minnows near the jetties we landed about 2 dozen. Our biggest fish was about 24 inches. In the mix we caught some bluefish and shad. We then ventured off to a near shore wreck and caught some really nice tautog and some sea bass. The fishing has been great overall.

Jeremy Burns and his dad (Scott) caught a bunch of schoolie stripers and some nice tautog pictured above. Their biggest tautog was near 8 lbs and ate a sand flea.
On a Wednesday trip we went wreck fishing and caught some great sea bass, and some more tautogs. We came back inside and landed 7 keeper flounders up to 22 inches. The bite was on the last of the incoming and our best success was near the 90 bridge. The weather and water conditions have been great and hopefully will stay as so. I’ll keep you posted.
